SEPTA Regional Rail Lines
The Airport, Marcus Hook-Wilmington, Media-Elwyn and most Glenside-Jenkintown, Warminster and West Trenton trains provide direct service to the Penn Medicine Station on the Penn/CHOP campus. From other Regional Rail lines, transfer free to the Airport, Marcus Hook-Wilmington, Media-Elwyn and most Glenside-Jenkintown, Warminster and West Trenton trains at 30th Street or Jefferson Station (formerly Market East station). Your train ticket is your transfer.

SEPTA City Trains and Trolleys
The SEPTA Market/Frankford Blue Line (the elevated train/subway) stops at 34th and Market streets. A 10-minute walk south on 34th Street or a 5-minute ride on the LUCY shuttle takes you to the Penn/CHOP campus. All SEPTA Subway/Surface Green Line trolleys except the Number 10 stop at 37th and Spruce streets. If you take the Number 10 trolley, travel to 36th and Sansom streets. A 5-minute walk takes you to the Penn/CHOP campus.

SEPTA Buses
The Penn/CHOP campus can be accessed by a variety of SEPTA bus routes, including the 30, 40, 49, 42 and 21. The Route 30 bus circulates through University City and West Philadelphia, with a stop at the intersection of 33rd Street and Spruce Street. The Route 40 bus runs through campus across Center City and stretches up to the East Parkside, Mantua, Belmont, and Powelton Village neighborhoods, with a stop at 34th Street and Spruce Street. The Route 49 bus runs through campus to the north and south stretching from Strawberry Mansion to Point Breeze, with a stop at 34th Street and Spruce Street. And bus routes 42 and 21 stretch East and West across Center City and West Philadelphia, stopping at 33rd Street and Spruce Street and 34th Street and Chestnut Street, respectively.

Amtrak
Northeast corridor Amtrak trains stop at 30th Street Station. See SEPTA Regional Rail Lines or SEPTA City Transit for information on traveling to the Penn/CHOP campus from 30th Street Station. Taxi service also is available at 30th Street Station.
Greyhound Bus Lines
From the Greyhound Bus Station at 10th and Filbert streets, walk to the Jefferson Station (formerly Market East station) at 11th and Market streets. From there, take the R1 Airport, R2 Marcus Hook-Wilmington, or R3 Media-Elwyn Regional Rail line to the Penn Medicine Station on the Penn/CHOP campus.

LUCY Shuttle (Loop through University City)
This SEPTA-run shuttle bus can be riden with a Trans or TrailPass, transfers, or the posted bus fare. LUCY has a wheelchair lift and two wheelchair tie-downs per bus. The LUCY shuttle runs every 5 to 30 minutes from 6:10 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, there is no weekend service.

New Jersey PATCO Trains
Take the PATCO line to 8th and Market streets. Follow the underground concourse to the SEPTA Jefferson Station (formerly Market East station). From there, the R1 Airport, R2 Marcus Hook-Wilmington, and R3 Media-Elwyn Regional Rail lines provide direct service to the Penn Medicine Station on the Penn/CHOP campus. Or you may transfer from PATCO at 8th and Market streets to the SEPTA Market/Frankford Blue Line (the elevated train/subway). Take the westbound train to 34th and Market streets. A 10-minute walk south on 34th Street takes you to the Penn/CHOP campus.
DRIVING
From Northeastern Areas: From I-95 South, take the Vine Street/Center City Exit, stay left to 676 West (Vine Street Express-way). Follow 676 West to the I-76 East Exit 1, International Airport. Follow I-76 East (Schuylkill Expressway) to Exit 346B, University Avenue. Continue on University Avenue, and then turn right onto Civic Center Boulevard. Turn right onto Health Sciences Drive. From the West & Montgomery County: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 326, Valley Forge. Take I-76 East (Schuylkill Expressway) approximately 17 miles to Exit 346B, University Avenue. Continue on University Avenue, and then turn right onto Civic Center Boulevard. Turn right onto Health Sciences Drive. See below for Visiting Parking Information.
From the North: Take I-476 (Northeast Extension) South to Exit 20, Mid-County. Pay the toll and continue south on I-476 to Exit 16A, I-76 East. Follow I-76 East (Schuylkill Expressway) approximately 17 miles to Exit 346B, University Avenue. Continue on University Avenue, and then turn right onto Civic Center Boulevard. From the South/Philadelphia International Airport: Take I-95 North to Exit 13, PA-291 toward I-76 West/Valley Forge (Schuylkill Expressway). Merge right. Cross Girard Point Bridge and turn left at light on 26th Street. Merge on I-76 West to Exit 346B, University Avenue. Continue on University Avenue, and then turn right onto Civic Center Boulevard. From New Jersey:
Take I-295 to the Walt Whitman Bridge. Follow signs for I-76 West (Schuylkill Expressway) and take Exit 346B, University Avenue. Continue on University Avenue, and then turn right onto Civic Center Boulevard. Turn right onto Health Sciences Drive. See below for Visiting Parking Information.

Penn provides daily parking at three locations during the day: Chestnut 34 , Walnut 40 , Walnut 38

Parking is also available at the Penn Museum Garage after 8 am. Parking is first-come first-served and based on space availability only. Lighted signs at each entrance will indicate whether public parking is available. All garages close at 11pm. Daily rates are posted and payment is required prior to exiting. All locations accept credit/debit cards only.

Amtrak

From New York City and New Jersey: Follow New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit 4 – Route 73 North. (Bear right out of the toll following signs to Philadelphia and the Ben Franklin Bridge.) After crossing the bridge take I-676 West, to I-76 East, the Schuylkill Expressway. Follow I-76 East to 30th Street Station Exit. Turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto Arch Street. Follow Arch Street around and merge right onto John F Kennedy Blvd. Merge right onto Market Street. Turn left onto 36th Street. Cross over Chestnut Street and make first right onto Sansom Street. Hotel entrance is in the middle of the block on your left.
