When I was diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni, I was impacted in many ways because I already had a feeling that I would have it since my family has many cases of cancer. I felt the fear of having cancer, apprehension with the test results of the Toronto protocol and the mastectomy to reduce the risk of cancer.
However, I know the importance of the information through the genetic test, having a diagnosis and being able to treat a disease early, it is a privilege.
